Downtown Des Moines Streets Blocked For Arts Festival

(Des Moines, IA) -- Preparations are well underway for this year's Des Moines Arts Festival, June 24th-26th at the Western Gateway Park on the west edge of downtown Des Moines.

There will be several road closures, on Locust Street between 17th and 10th Streets and on Grand Avenue between 16th and 10th Streets, as well as several cross streets.

Executive Director Stephen King says there will be 190 visual artists from 34-states and Nova Scotia.

This the 25th year for the Des Moines Arts Festival, admission is free.

Friday and Saturday Hours: 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Sunday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
