(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids Police have arrested a man, after a high-number of construction site burglaries. Police say 24-year-old Sklar Strawn is facing charges after he tried to take some equipment, that had been left at a site as a decoy. Plain clothes investigators in unmarked vehicles and took Strawn into custody July 7th.
Cedar Rapids Police investigators had noticed a pattern of burglary activity around the 2100 block of Wiley BLVD SW. Investigators focused on this area in attempt to catch the suspect/s committing burglaries.
Skylar Strawn was charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, Possession of Burglar's Tools, Theft, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Barred, and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.
