(Lincoln, NE) -- An investigation is underway after four people were injured in a Lincoln shooting.
Lincoln Police say around 12:30 Tuesday morning, officers were called to the area of 28th and T streets for several reports of gunshots being heard followed by a dark vehicle leaving the area. Investigators say once on the scene, officers found evidence of gunshots being fired, but didn't locate any injured parties. LPD says around the same time, officers learned that four people had just arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds.
Police say a 36-year-old woman was treated and released for gunshot injuries to her right leg and arm, a 23-year old man was treated and released for gunshot injuries to his right shoulder and a 15-year-old boy was treated and released for a gunshot injury to his foot. The fourth victim, a 27-year-old man, remains hospitalized in critical, but stable condition, after suffering multiple gunshot injuries.
At this time, no arrests have been made. Investigators say the Lincoln Police Department Crime Scene Unit is processing the scene gathering forensic evidence. Police say officers have also been canvassing the area searching for video evidence to aid in the investigation. LPD says they are expecting it to take several hours for the Crime Scene Unit to thoroughly process the scene and ask everyone to avoid the area if possible.
