Reward offered in search for hit and run driver in fatal Lincoln crash

(Lincoln, NE) -- A reward is being offered for information that leads to the suspect in a fatal hit and run crash in Lincoln.

Lincoln Police say on July 2nd, 28 year old Gustavo Cardenas was driving Westbound on O St when he lost control of his vehicle, crossing the median and hitting an eastbound vehicle head-on at 37th and O St. The driver of the eastbound vehicle, 19-year-old Alexandor Eskra, died from injuries sustained in the crash. Cardenas fled from the scene and has not been located.

The Lincoln Lancaster County Crime Stopper Board has approved a $1000 reward for information leading to Cardenas’ arrest. Anyone with information regarding Cardenas’ current whereabouts is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at lincolncrimestoppers.com or 402-475-3600 to remain anonymous and be eligible for the $1000 reward.
