Woman stabbed north of Downtown Omaha

(Omaha, NE) -- An investigation is underway after a woman is stabbed north of downtown Omaha.

Omaha Police say the cutting was reported just after 8:45 Thursday morning at a home near 20th and Paul Street, north of Cuming Street. Police say 43 year old Kimberly Taylor suffered several stab wounds in the assault. Taylor was taken to Nebraska Medicine for treatment of her injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

The suspect is described as a black female in her 50's with blond dyed hair.
