One Hurt After Shooting In Southeast Cedar Rapids

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- One person is hurt after a Monday night shooting in Cedar Rapids. Police were called about shots-fired in the 300 block of 16th Street SE just after 10:30 p.m. Police say those involved had been in an argument before the gunfire.

Police found evidence of the shooting at the scene, as well as damage to a nearby home.

Police say a woman arrived at a local hospital later with a non-life-threatening injury and said she had been shot while on 16th Street SE. Officers believe the injury and shooting are related but the victim refused to cooperate with investigators.
