(Des Moines, IA) -- Police are releasing the name of a man who died after being shot outside a Des Moines bar. Police 29-year-old Alonzo Kearney of Des Moines died after being shot at 21-20 Ingersoll early Sunday morning.
Officers were called to the Zora bar on November 27th at 12:05 a.m. on a report of a shooting. First responders arrived and found a male gunshot victim in the parking lot. The man was taken to a Des Moines hospital, where he later died.
Des Moines Police Department detectives talking to witnesses, looking at evidence, and following up on leads.
This is the 16th homicide of 2022.
