Police Release Name of Man Stabbed At Des Moines Apartment Complex

(Des Moines, IA) -- There are new details about a deadly stabbing in Des Moines. Police say a man found stabbed in the chest Friday night, has been identified as 33-year-old Michael Clayton. Police say he was stabbed late Friday night in the 32-hundred block of 30th Street and died at the hospital. Twenty-eight-year-old Jason Gene Parker of Des Moines is charged with First Degree Murder in Clayton's death. Police say Parker stabbed Clayton in the chest with a knife in front of multiple witnesses. The knife was found at the crime scene. Police say Parker was observed on surveillance video running from the scene, and he was taken into custody at a nearby residence. Des Moines Police Department detectives continue to investigate the crime.
