Stolen SUV Hit By Train In Marshall County, Iowa

(Marshall County, IA) -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a stolen S-U-V was found early this (Friday) morning. The Sheriff's Office was contacted by Union Pacific Railroad about the vehicle in a remote area along the tracks near the 2200 mile of Marshalltown Boulevard. UP called a second time stating a second train hit the vehicle at 3:48 a.m.

Deputies determined the 2017 silver 2017 Chevrolet Traverse had been stolen from a State Center residence either late January 19th or early January 20th. Deputies determined the occupants had left the area on foot and there were no signs of any injuries to the driver or possible occupants.
