(Des Moines, IA) -- The Iowa Democratic Party has approved a January 15th in-person caucus date, the same day as Iowa Republicans hold their caucuses. It comes after a meeting of the Iowa Democratic Party state central committee Saturday morning. The caucus will be to conduct party business, elect precinct officers, and select delegates to the county convention.

The procedure for accepting mail-in caucus votes is still undecided.
