(Des Moines, IA) -- Local first responders have a new training tool. A Simulation in Motion-Iowa (SIM-IA) system will be housed at Des Moines Fire Department Station 11. The SIM-IA is considered a cutting-edge mobile education program for EMS and hospital professionals. Each simulation truck features a simulated emergency bay, ambulance box, and video recording for analysis and debriefing, as well as four human patient simulators.

The Des Moines Fire Department unveiled the technology today (Monday) at Fire Station 11, at 4150 E. 42nd Street.
