Teen Charged After Deadly Crash Near Fairgrounds

(Des Moines, IA) -- An 18-year-old Des Moines resident has been charged after a deadly crash near the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Eighteen-year-old Kameron Wright is charged with two counts of vehicular homicide-OWI and two counts of Homicide by Reckless Driving. Detectives say he was driving 100-miles per hour in a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro on East University Avenue the night of November 12th and crashed into a 1999 Buick Century driven by Fred Lehman of Des Moines. Lehman and his wife Mary were both killed in the crash.
