(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines man accused of stealing a police vehicle and leading officers on a chase is in custody.
Police say 25 year-old Jorge Jacobo is was seen trying to get into vehicles at the police station at 25 E 1st Street around 8:30 Thursday morning. Investigators say an unmarked police SUV was reported missing. Police later located the stolen vehicle, pursued it in a short chase, and used a PIT maneuver to end the chase.
Jacobo was taken into custody and is now facing charges.
