Northeast Iowa Deputies Uncover Marijuana Grow Operation, Dozens Of Weapons

(Fayette County, IA) -- A northeast Iowa man is facing charges after officers found a marijuana grow operation and dozens of weapons at his home.

Deputies executed a search warrant Monday night, 7-8-24 at 108 W. Elm Street in Randalia, while investigating an accident from earlier in the evening. Deputies found a marijuana grow operation, including 300 marijuana plants, drying racks, plant hangers, grow lights. Deputies found nearly 60 firearms, included rifles, shotguns, and pistols.

Seventy-five-year-old Clyde Picket has been charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana, Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp, both D Felonies and 2 counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, both serious misdemeanors. Picket is currently at Fayette County Jail, on a $5,000 cash/surety bond.
