WalletHub: Des Moines Ranked 3rd Best City for Rising Credit Scores

(Des Moines, IA) -- A national personal finance website ranks Des Moines among the best cities in the nation for increasing credit scores.

WalletHub ranks Des Moines 3rd in the country among cities where credit scores are going up. The study finds the average credit score increased by 8.1% between the first quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of this year. The average credit score in Des Moines is 628, up from 581 compared to the first quarter of last year. The study finds the top city in the nation for rising credit scores is Scottsdale, Arizona, while Irvine, California at ranks at the bottom of the list.

In a state-wide national study earlier this year, WalletHub ranked Iowa as the state with the largest credit score increases in the country.
