(Davenport, IA) -- Change is coming to how weather is presented.

The National Weather Service is responding to feedback about confusion surrounding the over 300 types of alerts used by the agency.

Next month they'll begin reducing the number of watches and warnings, and begin using more plain language.

Rich Kenney, Meteorologist with the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities says, as an example, an advisory will become a headline of what conditions to expect.

Details of the changes can be found by clicking here.
