Several Central Iowa cities moving Beggars' Night to Thursday

(Des Moines, IA) -- The City of Des Moines and suburbs are moving its Beggars' Night from Wednesday to Thursday this year.

Heavy thunderstorms are expected throughout Wednesday evening - the typical Beggars' Night.

Des Moines and suburban trick-or-treaters will now hit the streets on Thursday, October 31st form 6-8 pm.

Other metro cities moving its Beggars' Night to Thursday include:

  • Altoona
  • Ankeny
  • Carlisle
  • Clive
  • Cumming
  • Des Moines
  • Indianola (rescheduled from Wednesday)
  • Johnston (rescheduled from Wednesday)
  • Melcher Dallas
  • Norwalk
  • Pleasant Hill
  • Polk City
  • Urbandale
  • Waukee
  • West Des Moines
