National Study: Iowa Has 2nd Safest Roads During Halloween Season

(Iowa) -- A new national study shows Iowa has some of the safest roads in the country during Halloween season.

Personal injury law firm Bader Scott looked at National Highway Traffic Safety Administration data from five years between October 24th and November 7th. Iowa was ranked the second safest state in the country with 21.24% of fatal crashes happening during that period.

The study found the top 10 states with the safest roads during Halloween to be:

  1. Oklahoma
  2. Iowa
  3. Louisiana
  4. Oregon
  5. Indiana
  6. Delaware
  7. Vermont
  8. Illinois
  9. Montana
  10. Missouri
