A Des Moines woman is now facing felony charges after fleeing in a stolen car from a traffic stop.

Police attempted to stop a stolen Lincoln MKZ driven by 39-year old Nicole Ruby around 2:40 a.m. on Thursday morning. Ruby then sped away, leading police on chase through the West side of Des Moines and into the western suburbs.

Stop sticks and a PIT manuever were used to bring the chase to an end at around 3:12 a.m. Ruby was taken into custody at E. 1st street and NE Grimes Boulevard.

She's facing several charges, including felony theft and eluding, as well as reckless driving, drug possession, and driving with a suspended license.
