(Ankeny, IA) -- The city of Ankeny will soon have a new mayor.
Current Mayor Mark Holm was elected Tuesday to serve on the Polk County Board of Supervisors. He'll continue to serve as mayor of Ankeny until December 31st, after which the Ankeny City Council will have 60 days to either appoint someone to the position or hold a special election where residents can vote for a candidate to fill the remainder of Holm's term.
