Iowa Man Charged With Hit-and-Run After Fatal Tractor Accident

(Carroll, IA) -- A northwestern Iowa man is charged with fleeing the scene of a fatal tractor accident that killed two and injured another in Carroll.

According to the Iowa State Patrol Crash Report, 51-year-old Troy Bluml ran a stop sign while driving a tractor Monday night and crashed into the driver's side of a Hyundai Santa Fe. 17-year-old Elvin Castro and 56-year-old Pedro Castro were pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, Carlos Castro, was critically injured and airlifted to a hospital in Des Moines. Bluml was later arrested at his home in Carroll and is now charged with knowingly leaving the scene of an accident.
