Clinton, Iowa 18 year old charged in parents' murders

The Clinton County, Iowa Sheriff's Office says 18 year old Gavin Glasz has been charged with two counts of First Degree Murder, in the deaths of his parents, Brian and Michelle Glasz this week.

Deputies were called to the Glasz home, 3750 Highway 30, Dewitt  Tuesday on a welfare check, after Brian Glasz failed to show up at work.  Authorities found Brian Glasz body, in a laundry room.  The body of 54 year old Michelle Glasz was in the basement.

The Sheriff's Office says while deputies were at the crime scene, Gavin Glasz walked up to them, and claimed he had not seen his parents in days.  Surveillance video on the property shows Gavin going in and out of the house multiple times.  Deputies arrested Glasz on the scene on an unrelated warrant.   Deputies found $800 dollars on him, which appeared to be stained with blood.

Gavin Glasz made an initial court appearance today, Friday.  He is being held in the Clinton County Jail on $1 million bond.
