If you're looking for something entertaining AND educational for you or your kids to binge-watch this summer, a Drake University student hopes you'll visit the world of "Vireo: The Spiritual Biography of a Witch’s Accuser".
Music major Rowen Sabala stars in the made-for-TV opera. She actually filmed it when she was going to the Orange County School for the Arts in southern California before coming to Des Moines for college.
Sabala says "Vireo" can serve as a viewer-friendly introduction to opera for anyone unfamiliar with the art form.
