Wallet thefts in Urbandale

The Urbandale Police Department is seeking the public’s help identifying the photographed suspects who were involved in thefts at Panera Bread located at 2839 86th St, Urbandale, on July 17th and 19th, 2017.

The suspects targeted victims who had their purses draped over the back of their chairs while dining.

Suspects would remove the victim’s wallet from their purse, remove any credit cards and then place the victim’s wallet back into the purse.

Some of the victims also reported their entire wallet had been stolen as well. After stealing the victim’s credit cards or wallet the suspects would then make charges at local department stores – the photographs below are from surveillance photos where the suspects were utilizing the victim’s stolen credit cards.

The Urbandale Police Department would like the public to be aware of these thefts which occurred in Urbandale and bordering jurisdictions.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of these suspects, or who may have seen something suspicious in the area is asked to call Detective Andy Morlan with the Urbandale Police Departments Criminal Investigation Division at 515-331-6802.
