Accused Des Moines puppy killer arrested

A man wanted for killing his neighbor's puppy in Des Moines has been arrested.

Police say they caught 25-year-old Christopher Vogel after a short foot chase over the weekend.

In a police report obtained by WHO Radio News, Vogel is accused of snapping the three-month-old puppy's neck after an argument about using their Wi-Fi.  The puppy's owners say Vogel demanded to use their wifi because one of them had crashed Vogel's four-wheeler earlier.

Vogel is out of jail on bond.   Polk County Jail photo.
