Man wanted in burning man case found in North Dakota

Des Moines Police say a 41 year old man they were seeking for questioning in connection with a homicide last week has been taken into custody in North Dakota.

41 year old Randy Dean Myles, Jr was located and detained by police in Grand Forks, ND.  Des Moines detectives were set to travel there to question him.  No charges have be filed against him.

Police say they got a 911 call around 1:30pm Friday, and as firefighters arrived at the address, they reported seeing smoke.  Then came the report that a person was burned.

Des Moines Police Sergeant Paul Parizek tells WHO Radio News that the man was taken to University of Iowa hospital in critical condition with extensive burns over much of his body. He died over the weekend on his injuries.

The victim in this homicide is identified as 26 year old Des Moines resident Christopher Lenhart.  Photo at left provided by his family.

No arrests have been made.
