(Des Moines, Iowa) Police say one person was hit by gunfire during a drive-by shooting this (Thursday) afternoon south of Lincoln High School on the city's south side. Witnesses tell WHO Radio News they heard four gunshots, and saw one SUV speed away from the area.
Des Moines Police Sergeant says it appears the victim was driving on SW 9th Street and was struck by gunfire. He says they're not sure if the victim was the intended target. The person hit was taken to Mercy Medical Center with with a gunshot injury in the arm.
