(Des Moines, Iowa) A Des Moines man is in the Polk County Jail, facing sexual exploitation of a minor and assault with intent to commit sex abuse.
Twenty-one-year-old Malike Sharkey was booked on the charges Wednesday night.
Des Moines police say a 16-year-old girl contacted them, saying the alleged abuse started when she was 15. She says Sharkey claimed to be 17, and the two began dating. S
he told police Sharkey repeatedly asked for sexually explicit photos of her and she sent nude photos of herself to him.
Sharkey's bond has been set at $32,000. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for December 18th.
