(Des Moines, Iowa) A Des Moines man's pleading not guilty in Polk County in a homicide in October. Forty-year-old Michael Bell Jr, is charged with First Degree Murder in the death of Jerry Martin.
Martin was stabbed several times in the eleven-hundred block of Euclid Avenue October 25th. He was taken to a Des Moines hospital and died hours after the stabbing.
Investigators say the two men had a dispute over 50-dollars. Authorities say Bell brought several weapons with him to confront Martin.
Bell's trial is scheduled for February 12th, 2018. He remains in the Polk County Jail on a one million dollar bond.
