Two children, one adult dead after Davenport, Iowa fire

(Davenport, Iowa)    A fire Thursday night at a Davenport Mobile has claimed the lives of two children, and one adult, and has left two more children in critical condition.

Crews were called to Davenport's Five Seasons Mobile Home Park in the 51-hundred block of North Fairmount Avenue on the city's northwest side around 9:30 last night.  

Davenport Interim Fire Marshal Jim Morris tells KWQC-TV four children were removed from the scene and transported to Genesis Medical Center where two of the children died.  The other two were taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in critical condition.

Fire investigators have determined that there were no working smoke detectors at the residence.  No word on what caused the fire.   Names of the victims have not been released yet.
