I was alone in a hotel restaurant, staring at a TV, when the infamous "wardrobe malfunction" occurred.
It was fourteen years ago. I was in the Iowa Legislature and NORMALLY drove up to the Capitol from my home in Creston on Monday morning. However, a snow storm was predicted, so I drove up to a hotel room on Super Bowl Sunday in order to not be stranded as the legislature kicked off another week.
So....when Justin Timberlake pulled at Janet Jackson's corset during a song and accidentally exposed her breast, I couldn't turn to someone and say, "Did I just see that???"
Remember social media was NOT A THING. We basically had to wait until Monday for the controversy to erupt. Yes - I DID see that.
Justin Timberlake is set to perform at halftime again this year. C'mon - Janet Jackson MUST appear at some point - right????? I'm sure I am not the only one that will be waiting for that appearance.
