Body found in burned car in rural Davis County, Iowa

(BLOOMFIELD, Iowa) A southern Iowa farmer spotted a burned-out car over the weekend in Davis County.   Sheriff's deputies then found human remains in the car.

The car was found on a farm lane, off a dirt road, (27772 Vetch Avenue) in Pulaski, Iowa. 

The State Medical Examiner is doing an autopsy.

Authorities are asking the public if they have any information about the case, to contact the Davis County Law Enforcement Center at (641) 664-2385.

The case is under investigation by the Davis County Sheriff’s office, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, State Fire Marshall’s office, Iowa Department of Transportation and the Davis County Attorney and the Office of State Medical Examiner.
