Southern Iowa claims most snow this time MAP

DES MOINES, Iowa - While north central and east central Iowa claimed the highest snow totals on Friday morning, south central Iowa gets bragging rights Saturday morning.

In the Des Moines metro area, the north metro saw 1 to 2 inches of snow, the central metro 2 to 3 inches.  The south metro found itself digging out of 2 to 5 inches Saturday morning.

The Oskaloosa gets to claim the highest snowfall overnight Friday to Saturday morning - 7.5 to 7.9 inches of new snow.

WHO Channel 13 meteorologists say several more inches of snow are likely overnight Saturday to Sunday morning.  The closer you get to Missouri the more snow is expected.
