Dozens Of Dog Food Brands Pulled From Shelves

If you're a dog owner, listen up: an investigation has revealed a drug used for euthanizing animals inside various brands of dog food.

A massive recall has been issued by multiple companies including the J.M. Smucker Company who issued a voluntary recall of several types of their “Gravy Train,” “Kibbles ‘N Bits,” and “Skippy” wet dog food products.

The FDA is also investigating the euthanasia drug contamination after finding the chemical in Evanger’s dog and cat food.

Retailers have removed at least 31 types of dog food.  Lab tests conducted by the Food and Drug Administration showed that many brands of dog food were found to have been contaminated with pentobarbital.
