DES MOINES, Iowa - Detectives investigating Des Moines' second homicide of the year are looking at the possibility of self defense.

Police Seargeant Paul Parizek tells WHO TV Channel 13 the man who was taken into custody for questioning is being very cooperative.  It appears he may have called 911 to report the death.

Police dispatch audio from Wednesday morning just after 6:00 a.m.  WHO Radio News has digitally covered the name of the man being questioned until police release the name.

Police say when they arrived they found 34-year-old Christopher Latimer dead in an upstairs apartment at 1076 21st Street.

Neighbors in the same building reported yelling and screaming coming from his apartment before police found his body.  People who live in the building next door tell WHO Radio News Chris showed up in their entryway in the middle of the night to see a friend, causing a disturbance, and was removed by police.
