Winter cold to summer blast this week in Des Moines WEATHER

DES MOINES, Iowa - Don't like the weather in Iowa?  Just wait a day!

It might look and feel a lot like winter today, but later this week, it'll look and feel like summer.

"It's going to feel that way."  National Weather Service Meteorologist Cory Martin tells WHO Radio News.

"Temperatures are going to be, especially in the Des Moines area, we're looking at 70, maybe even topping 70 Wednesday and Thursday, possibly even into Friday."  He says.

That's the good news.   The bad news?  Just wait a day.

"Dropping right back into cold weather again Saturday."  Martin says.  "Looks like it's going to be blustery and cold again, cold rain maybe a few snow flakes mixed in."  He says more snow is possible north of Des Moines.
