Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma - How can you help?

Dan and Barbara Burke of the Heartland Chapter Scleroderma Foundation joined Van and Bonnie in the WHO Radio studios to invite you to walk in their 6th Annual Stepping Out To Cure Scleroderma Walk coming up on Sunday afternoon, June 10th.  Scleroderma is a chronic, progressive, autoimmune disease for which there is no cure.  It attacks the skin, lungs, heart, kidneys, esophagus and gastrointestinal tract. If you can walk with us, you can register on-line at www.scleroderma.org/steppingoutdsm.  You can just sign up to walk or join a team that is already walking.  My husband Gene and I are on Bonnie & Gene's Travelers Team, but you don't have to be a traveler to walk with us.  You can also just donate or donate to a team at that same website.  It takes place at Grandview University, 1500 Morton Avenue and Des Moines (just off NE 14th Street).  You can hear the entire conversation here...

Thank you in advance for your help!

Tomorrow on Van and Bonnie, we'll have Ruth Comer telling us about a "Girls On The Run 5K" event, and Police Chief John Quinn is coming to the studio for something...it must be something Van did!  Plus, we'll have more Peter Cetera tickets to give away as well as $1,000 every hour!

Have a wonderful day!

Bonnie
