Key Federal Primary Races:

CD 1 Abby Finkenauer will challenge Congressman Rod Blum in Iowa’s First Congressional District in November.

CD 3 Cindy Axne wins the Democratic Primary for Iowa's Third Congressional District.  She will run against Republican Congressman Steve Young in November. 

CD 4 J.D. Scholten Wins Primary in Iowa’s Fourth Congressional District.  Scholten will face Congressman Steve King in November’s general election ballot.

Key Iowa State Primary Races: 

GOVERNOR Fred Hubbell Wins the Democratic Primary, Jake Porter wins the Libertarian Primary.  They  will run for Governor in November challenging Republican Kim Reynolds who was unopposed. 

SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE Mike Naig had the most votes, but not quite enough to get the Republican nomination. The Iowa Republican Convention will endorse a candidate, who will run against Democratic candidate Tim Gannon who was unopposed in the Primary.

SECRETARY OF STATE In the Democratic Primary, Deidre DeJear wins with 51-percent of the vote, defeating Jim Mowrer to challenge incumbent Republican Paul Pate in November.

McCoy wins over long-time Polk County Supervisor Mauro

Former Iowa State Senator Matt McCoy clinched the Primary race over incumbent John Mauro.  McCoy had nearly 69-percent of the vote.
