Osceola, Iowa man killed in crash with semi

CLARKE COUNTY, Iowa- An Osceola man was killed in head-on crash with a semi yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon west of Osceola, in Clarke County.

The Iowa State Patrol says 25-year-old Jesse Ray was headed west on Highway 34, shortly after 4 p.m. when for an unknown reason, his Toyota Camry went into the eastbound lanes and hit a semi,  driven by 33-year-old Jesse Bain of Ottumwa.    The Patrol says the semi, ended up in a ditch, the car came to rest on the highway

Ray was pronounced dead at the scene, the truck driver was injured and taken to Clarke County Hospital in Osceola.    

The crash happened west of R25, west of Osceola.
