World Cup Victory By South Korea over Germany Starts Party.... in Mexico

The World Cup continues to sweep the globe and Mexico needed some help from South Korea to make it to the Round of 16.

Long story short: Sweden was beating Mexico while Germany was playing South Korea. Mexico could have been eliminated if Germany beat South Korea, but South Korea scored twice late to get the win over Germany. That means that even though Mexico lost to Sweden, they advanced to the Round of 16 in the World Cup.

This prompted celebrations all over Mexico, including one at the South Korean Embassy. Dozens of Mexicans were there and started partying with the South Korean Ambassador to Mexico, Byoung-Jin Han, chugging drinks and chanting "Korean, brother, now you're Mexican!”

Safe to say this is good for international relations between the two countries.
