Des Moines, Iowa sex offender gets 40 years in prison

DES MOINES, Iowa-  A Des Moines man, previously convicted of child sex exploitation, has been sentenced to 40-years in prison on new child porn charges.

Thirty-three-year-old Raymond Wayne Eugene Hall will be on supervised release for the rest of his life after he serves his prison term. 

Hall admitted making child porn with a hidden camera, and recording himself engaged in various sex acts with the victim.  

 Authorities say he made some of the videos using his cell phone and stored the images on his  laptop computer.

Hall’s sentence was enhanced by United States District Court Judge Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger due to his criminal history. 

Hall had was convicted in 2006 in Polk County, Iowa of sexual exploitation of children for collecting child pornography. 

As a consequence of the 2006 state court conviction, Hall was required to register on the Iowa Sex Offender Registry.
