DALLAS COUNTY, Iowa - Sabrina Ray's adoptive father has a plea deal in the girl's murder case.
WHO Channel 13 reports a hearing for Marc Ray's plea is set in Dallas County Court in Adel on Friday at 1pm.
Marc and his wife Misty Ray are charged with murder after the 16 year-old-girl was found starved and beaten in the basement of the family home last year.
Sabrina weighed 56 pounds at the time of her death.
Prosecutors say she was kicked down the basement stairs by her brother, and left there with a broken jaw and other injuries unable to walk or eat.
Marc Ray is also charged with sexually abusing another child in the home.
Details of the plea will not be released before Friday’s hearing.
