DES MOINES, Iowa - Iowa is leading the nation right now.
"Iowa has the lowest unemployment rate in America. We are tied with Hawaii at 2.4%." Says Cory Kelly with Iowa Workforce.
New numbers for November show the biggest growth is in manufacturing jobs, and the biggest losses in leisure and hospitality.
Kelly says more people are in the workforce in Iowa than ever before, in Iowa history.
"1,648,900 Iowans engaging in meaningful work. The most, ever.
The last time Iowa had the lowest unemployment rate in the nation was March of 2000, when it was also 2.4 percent.
