DES MOINES, Iowa - Two new 2020 Democratic Presidential Candidate polls show a shake up in the top three, with Elizabeth Warren gaining significantly, and former Vice President Joe Biden dropping.

The ISU/Civiqs poll gives Warren 28-percent of likely Iowa Caucus-goer support, up four points, and holding the number one spot. Biden drops out of the top three, to fourth, with 12-percent.

"Biden was only able to hold on to about 60-percent of his supporters, so 40-percent of Biden's supporters shifted to another candidate." Iowa State University Political Science Professor Dave Peterson tells our newsroom.

Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg is now second in the poll, with 20-percent.

"So, we know that of the people who undecided in September, Butttigieg picks up about a quarter of the people who were undecided (in the last poll)." Peterson says.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is third in the ISU/Civiqs poll at 18 percent

Another new poll supports Warren's rise and Biden's drop.

The Quinnipiac University nationwide poll released this morning show Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren widening her lead in the race for the Democratic nomination for president.

Warren gets 28-percent of the vote among Democratic voters while former Vice President Joe Biden drops to 21-percent.

In the poll last week, Biden only trailed behind by three percent.

Senator Bernie Sanders receives 15 percent of support to hold the third spot, and South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg is fourth with 10 percent.

According to the Quinnipiac poll, Biden is still viewed by Democrats as the candidate who has the highest chance of winning against Donald Trump in the presidential election in 2020.
