Winter storm moving away from Iowa

JOHNSTON, Iowa -- A winter storm that was forecast to hit parts of Eastern and Southeast Iowa starting Tuesday continues to track away from the state.

The National Weather Service says just four counties in the far southeast corner of Iowa are now under a Winter Weather Advisory from Tuesday morning through noon Wednesday.

The forecast now calls for 2 to 3 inches of snow in the Burlington area, 1 to 2 inches in Davenport, and less than an inch in Dubuque.

The Weather Service says Central Iowa is forecast to see little snow if any.
