Waukee Schools Asking Parents to Take Survey on Online vs In-Person Classes

WAUKEE, Iowa - The Waukee School District is asking parents to take a survey Tuesday over their preference for in-person or online education for their children.

The district says the survey is not a binding commitment, but important in helping it determine staffing needs as school starts up.

Waukee Schools is also hosting a Virtual Town Hall on Zoom Thursday evening to have a dialogue about returning to class next month. It's asking parents to submit questions beforehand.

The district says it'll finalize plans for the fall semester by late this month.

It's requiring face coverings for all students and staff while at school., with a few exceptions. It's also looking at limiting access to its pay-to ride-service.
