DES MOINES, Iowa -- E10 gas pumps in Iowa could soon be converted to E15.
President Donald Trump in a phone call with U.S. Senator Joni Ernst of Iowa this weekend says he's issuing the order allowing states to increase ethanol blended gas to E15.
"That saves tremendous amounts of money for the people in the ethanol industry. Like, hundreds of millions of dollars," Trump says on the call.
The EPA says E15 gas is safe to use in most cars 2001 or newer.
