NEWTON, Iowa -- A Newton man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into a semi truck Friday evening.
Police say 33-year-old Brandon Lee James was riding his motorcycle about 10 minutes west of Newton around 6:30 p.m. when an oncoming semi truck made a left-hand turn.
James crashed into the backend of the semi as it was turning and was killed on impact.
The driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.
