BOONE COUNTY, Iowa - A major investigation is underway after a farmer in Boone County found the body of a deceased man in a field Sunday morning.
The body was found off of highway 30 near the town of Beaver.
The Boone County Sheriff Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation are examining what happened.
Investigators are still working to identify the body and determine a cause of death. An autopsy is being performed by the State Medical Examiner’s Office.
