DES MOINES, Iowa -- Local artists are placing Christmas ornaments of their design around Des Moines over the next ten days.
The Greater Des Moines Partnership says the idea is to encourage people to shop local, while looking for the ornaments around the city.
They say anyone who finds one can take one home for their Christmas tree.
Artists will post photos and clues each day using #downtownDSM and #DSMlocal.
